Join Me

I have to say I’ve had a blast this past month since I opened up my sponsorship opportunities. I’ve gotten to know some pretty amazing bloggers and have loved reading and sharing their content. It’s a lot of work to manage sponsorships, but it is SO worth it.

Join-Me

While some blogs offer just real estate on their sidebar or a tweet here and there, I offer a variety of opportunities to connect with new readers. Take a look at my beautiful February sponsors for a slice of their exposure. Now that February is wrapping up, I’d LOVE to see some new faces and help your blog reach a new audience. Before you decide, however, here’s what some of my sponsors had to say about their experience:

Marissa exudes class and professionalism and she was a pure joy to work with during MDC Artistic Designs‘s sponsorship. She constantly delivered what she set out to do or said in our various communications. She showcased my online jewelry shop in various media outlets such as Facebook, Pinterest, and several times in her blog posts which favored increased traffic to my shop and blog as well as brought new followers to my Facebook page. I, in turn, am a new fan of The Modern Austen.” – Marlene, Jewelry Designer & Owner of MDC Artistic Designs

“Sponsoring The Modern Austen was a wonderful experience. Marissa was great help. I could tell she wanted to do as much as she could to get the word out about my blog. I would definitely sponsor again. Thanks, Marissa!” -Sara, Sincerely, Sara

Two of a Kind

On more than one occasion, Ashlie and I have emerged from our respective bedrooms in similar outfits (or more often than not, in the same pink hoodie sporting our own colleges’ names). It’s very rarely ever planned (except during Halloween if you were lucky enough to see our hilarious quidditch pictures . . .) so our matching is just a testament to our close ties.

Take my last “hurrah” night-on-the-town before I moved home, for example.

We spent our Valentine’s Day doing some retail therapy in the new Gap Factory Store (ah-maz-ing. SO much better than a regular Gap!) in our town, picking up two skirts (among many other things) that we couldn’t wait to wear that evening.

Somehow we both decided to pair them with navy tops, statement necklaces, and booties. Thankfully, we weren’t too embarrassed to walk next to each other thanks to the different prints and her colored tights. Even if we were dressed exactly the same, I would still feel awesome next to my bestie.

My Boots: Sears
(I’m not sure where the rest of our outfits are from . . . sorry! :P)

What can I say? We’re two of a kind.

My skirt is actually a few inches longer, but I wore it higher up for an evening out. I can’t WAIT to remix it all year round. I remember that Kate from A Journey in Style wore a similar striped skirt and I LOVED it. Can’t wait to be inspired by her looks.

Oh and one more thing . . . My amazing sponsor of the month, Marlene from MDC Artistic Designs is giving away a $40 giftcard to her incredible jewelry store and time is ALMOST UP. In honor of her husband’s birthday tomorrow, she is increasing the 20% off coupon code to 30% off for TOMORROW ONLY. The code is tmafeb20 (it will be increased to 30 tomorrow using the same code).  If you want to make a purchase before or after tomorrow, you can still use the coupon code to receive 20% off until the 28th!
